4.0 mm (US 6) circular needles with 40 cm (16”) cable length and double-pointed needles or preferred method for knitting small circumferences in the round, or size needed to obtain gauge;

3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles with 40 cm (16”) cable length, or two sizes less than needed to obtain gauge.
